Why "Creativity" is Killing Your Real Estate Business

Feb 17, 2026

Most real estate coaching tells you to be "creative." They tell you to find a unique angle, dance to the latest trend, and constantly "wow" your audience.

They are wrong.

In the military community, we don’t value "creativity." We value Intelligence. If you are constantly trying to be "new," you are likely failing to be "clear." If you want to own your market, you need to stop focusing on creativity and start focusing on Context.

The Multiplier Effect

The most successful military agents I lead don't have 100 ideas. They have three core truths that they repeat until the entire installation knows them by heart.

  • They might be the "VA Loan Wealth" agent.

  • They might be the "OCONUS Logistics" agent.

  • They might be the "Short-Fuse PCS" agent.

Instead of looking for something new to say, they take that one core truth and they adapt it for the container they are using. They aren't "creating" content; they are multiplying their authority.

One Truth, Seven Containers

Think about the last time you explained something to a client. Maybe it was why a VA appraisal might flag a home with a "chipping paint" issue.

  • On Instagram: You show a 15-second clip of the paint and say, "Don't buy this house without a scraper."

  • On Facebook: You tell the story of a family whose closing was delayed by two weeks because of a $50 fix.

  • On LinkedIn: You discuss how "Minimum Property Requirements" protect the veteran's investment and the lender's collateral.

  • In an Email: You send a "VA Appraisal Readiness Checklist" to your sellers.

It’s the same intel. It’s the same expertise. But because you changed the context, it feels fresh and relevant to every different audience.

Visibility is a Leadership Responsibility

Gary Vaynerchuk often says that "Attention is the most valuable asset." For us, attention is the gateway to Protection. If a veteran doesn't see your content, they might end up with an agent who doesn't understand their life.

You have a responsibility to be visible. You have a responsibility to be loud. And the only way to be loud enough without burning out is to master the art of the Multiplier.

Stop trying to be an artist. Start being a broadcaster.
